our story
“We wanted to create a space where children have the very best
experiences and their days are filled with fun, creativity, love and learning”
meet the potters
Jodie and Kevin Potter own Cavendish Lodge Nursery School. After the birth of their lovely twin girls, the Potters started their search for local nursery provisions but struggled to find anything that met their needs and expectations. After a lengthy discussion, they decided to take on the ambitious project of opening their very own nursery in early 2007 with their core values and high standards at its heart.
the best start in life
Uppermost in their minds was that the children have the very best start in life with days filled with fun, creativity, love and learning. The Potters created an outstanding environment with lots of unique child-focused activities to explore and fascinate.
Jodie’s creative skills coupled with Kevin’s entrepreneurial spirit and a whole load of determination set the nursery up for the success it is today, and Cavendish Lodge Nursery School quickly gained an excellent reputation within South West London. Soon enough, due to popularity, the nursery reached capacity, and when the opportunity arose to buy the disused health clinic opposite, they jumped at the chance. It was then, in September 2010 that the second nursery building, Dove House, opened its doors.
Jump to present day our third nursery Somers House in Reigate opened its doors to offer fantastic childcare and a lovely community for local families.
miss jodie reads
Take a moment to enjoy Miss Jodie reading stories to our little ones. Storytelling is a one the core activities at Cavendish Lodge Nurseries, and we encourage our children to engage with stories to help them develop their speaking, listening and attention skills. More importantly, it helps our little ones develop early reading and writing.
